The Men’s Scarf – All About The Masculine Male
Men’s Scarf… Look Great, Feel Fantastic!
The international runways shows have ended, and it looks like it is going to be a good year for men’s fashion. The trends for men seem to be leaning back to a more conservative tailored look, but the splashes of color and metallics are far from stuffy. Here is a wrap up of the must have looks for men in Spring 2009.
Conservative is Hot
Many people are being very tight with their luxury spending due to the current economic conditions. The resurgence of classic conservative styles for men means that you will be able to look trendy in spring 2009, but know that you can still wear that look and look great in seasons to come. To get this conservative yet cool look, buy tailored suits in timeless materials and patterns. Three-piece suits and double-breasted suits will truly make you look stylish and sophisticated at the office or out on the town. The trendiest cuts are meant for men that are in shape, so use this as motivation to get yourself in the gym. Wide shoulders and slim waists that flatter the natural V shape of a man were seen all over the runway-and are sure to be the hottest suits on the racks for spring 2009.
Hooray for the V
One of the hottest trends for spring 2009 is the deep V-neck shirt. On the runway the look was shown with nothing underneath. This is a great look for a twenty something man with pecks that are ridiculously defined, but the great news is that men who are a little less than perfect can still look great in a deep V. You just need to layer it with a shirt underneath. Look for lightweight sweaters and cardigans with a necklines super deep in neutral classic colors like cream, gray, and tan. Layer them with a fitted shirt in a matching color or similar hue to avoid looking like you are showing off a chest that isn’t quite worth showing. If your pecks are impeccable, dare to wear the deep V-necks solo.
Formal Inspirations
Tuxedo pieces aren’t just for black tie events anymore. 2009 is seeing pieces from formal wear paired with not-so-formal pieces for a great look to wear out of the town. Forget about the formal dress shirt, cummerbund, and bow tie. Instead look for jackets with satin lapels or the satin shawl paired with a button up that is much more casual. Satin stripes in the pants are also a great way to incorporate elements of the penguin suit into your trendy dinner suit.
Brilliant Blues
The trendy color for spring 2009 is most definitely blue. Bright blue. Exciting blue. This look can be a little tricky to pull off with taste if you aren’t careful. Too much of it and you will look like a smurf. Instead spice up a more conservative outfit with splashes of blue. Pair a dark suit with a blue scarf or blue cardigan. Couple jeans with a blue button up and neutral colored blazer. Use a single piece of bright blue to make a more boring outfit pop. Just don’t go overboard with the blue to avoid looking like a clown.
